A powerful toroidal transformer

The MCA amplifier delivers incredible dynamics thanks to the audiophile-grade transformer it uses. The latter ensures great performance in complete silence, while minimizing electromagnetic radiation. It therefore provides a pure, clean, low-noise signal, which is necessary to reproduce the full dynamics of home cinema or complex musical recordings.

MCA Series

The new MCA series significantly reduces internal wiring for a purer signal path and better audio performance. The use of a low-flux toroidal transformer and input transistors considerably improves its sense of transparency, even on sound materials with complex dynamics. We have also improved other performance elements, including power bandwidth and rise time. With a signal-to-noise ratio of around 120 dB, background noise is practically non-existent, leaving the audience with a pure and natural sound.

A new generation of load monitoring

An exclusive ALM technology monitors internal temperature, current and voltage to ensure safe, long-term and uninterrupted operation, while eliminating the need for an internal fuse. The ALM probe is not in the signal path, so it never interferes. Instead, it engages instantly only in the most extreme situations, to protect your amplifier and speakers from any damage. This new generation of ALM reduces the chances of a fuse blowing during a current spike. If such a condition were to occur, the unaffected channels would continue to play and the affected channels would automatically restart afterwards. Additionally, the LED on the front panel will confirm the return to normal operation.

Eco-friendly standby power consumption

In addition to reducing the input current, these new MCA amplifiers use only between 1 and 2 W in standby mode. As with all Anthem amplifiers, it is possible to turn them on manually through a Trigger or by detecting the presence of a signal. New larger audiophile-grade connectors have been added to maximize contact and hold the speaker cable as firmly as possible.
