The YSP-2700 creates sound beams by combining the sound emitted by multiple speakers. Thanks to digital processing, these beams are then projected towards the walls and reflected to the listener’s position, for realistic surround reproduction with sound coming from the left or right, and even from behind. The listening area is expanded for large-scale, natural spatialization, incomparable to traditional virtual surround methods.
MusicCast is a revolution in networked audio. MusicCast devices can be used separately or together, as you wish. They are all controlled via a mobile app that is intuitive, fluid and easy to access. Use a soundbar, wireless speaker, amplifier, Hi-Fi system or any other device that suits you, then combine them to expand your MusicCast multiroom system. Yamaha’s brand new MusicCast system streams all your music, everywhere, for everyone.
MusicCast uses a high-performance wireless network to stream sound without degradation. This protocol can transfer music from a smartphone, PC or NAS to other MusicCast devices in your home. It also allows you to share music from other equipment such as a TV or Blu-ray player connected to the YSP-2700. Audio content from Bluetooth smartphones and tablets can also be distributed to MusicCast devices in multiple rooms.
The manufacturer elevates its YSP-2500 to new heights by further enhancing the sound quality and adding more features thanks to Wi-Fi and multiroom capabilities. The sound projection, as stunning as ever, offers us an unparalleled immersive experience in the soundbar with subwoofer category. It's a shame that the Bluetooth integration was a bit of an afterthought.

Although this soundbar is a few years old, it's an excellent compromise for quality listening without breaking the bank. I recommend it.
