I must admit I was not very satisfied with the sound of these speakers, which in my opinion are far too directional (the sound collapses with the slightest movement). While the size is absolutely perfect for a mini stereo system, I feel they are well below the Cabasse MT30, which are entry-level speakers, and even below a Philips iPhone dock speaker in terms of directionality (considering I use this mini stereo system as one would use a car stereo). Perhaps the size explains the difference...
Directly in front of the speakers, the sound is decent but nothing more, on par with the price. Well-positioned on a desk or in a home theater setup, there's no hesitation, but for listening to the radio and moving about at home, it's better to opt for less directional speakers or a "lifestyle" product.
