Marantz PM8006 black

The PM8006 integrated amplifier features a fully discrete current feedback design, ideal for audiophiles seeking excellent music quality and operational flexibility. Powerful 2x 70W is available for 8Ω loads, and symmetrical circuits ensure optimal sound quality. For a more realistic music experience, the amplifier uses Marantz’s newly designed electronic volume control and new Marantz Musical Phono EQ preamp stage to obtain the purest possible signal from precious vinyl records while minimizing noise levels. To further eliminate interference, new isolation feet are used to support the amplifiers, which utilize high-density damped fiber composites.

Marantz HDAM Technology

Marantz developed its own discrete circuit board called HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module), which replaces the chip amplifiers used elsewhere. HDAM features separate surface mount components and a short mirror L/R signal path that outperforms conventional integrated op-amps in terms of slew rate and noise reduction levels, making sounds more dynamic, accurate and detailed. Over the years, Marantz has developed different HDAMs to meet the specific needs of players and amplifiers: the PM8006 uses the advanced SA3 version.

Toroidal Transformer

The toroidal transformer has more advantages than the ordinary EI core transformer. It is very efficient and therefore provides more power than a basic EI transformer of the same size. Moreover, due to its shape, electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibrations are extremely low, allowing for better sound quality.

High Quality Volume Control

The new electronic volume control technology uses the latest volume control integrated circuit to provide better channel isolation, better dynamic range and reduced distortion while preserving the operational feel of analog volume control. To ensure a more realistic music experience, the amplifier uses Marantz’s new electronic volume control for increased linearity and top-notch channel isolation.
