Overview
Always in search of the best in terms of quality and music, to give life to high-fidelity audio systems, the world’s largest audio solutions company presents the C-5000 preamplifier. Yamaha draws on its rich musical experience, both on stage and at home, to create equipment capable of faithfully reproducing every nuance and emotion of a musical performance.
Perfect Balance
With the GT-5000 turntable and M-5000 amplifier, Yamaha offers end-to-end symmetrical signal routing on its flagship models for premium performance.
“Floating and Balanced” Preamplifier
The C-5000 offers balanced transmission and discrete circuits at every stage of the signal path in “Tone Defeat” mode (default setting).
The patented floating design is adopted on all amplification stages: phono EQ input, amplifier input, and line input, to eliminate the influence of background noise on the signal.
Symmetrical Circuit
The preamplifier’s printed circuit board faithfully duplicates the left and right signal paths for perfect final synchronization.
Each channel is physically identical. Thus, the C-5000 guarantees extremely accurate sound reproduction, both deep and vast.
In addition, the ground loop is minimized when other components are connected.
Dual Toroidal Transformers
The adoption of a dual toroidal transformer, independent for the left and right channels, ensures optimal separation and faithful reproduction of the original source.
The low level of magnetic leakage reduces harmful effects on the audio signal. Following a detailed study based on listening tests, the transformer was encapsulated in a copper-plated shell to eliminate magnetic flux and vibrations. Moreover, the influence of flux in the phono circuit is minimized.
This system generates a soft and enveloping sound, thanks to the improved restitution of all information, even the most minute, in the signal.
