Impeccable stereo reproduction and sound precision at any volume can be a challenge for amplifiers. Cambridge has opted for an Alps volume potentiometer offering precise volume control and superb balance at low levels. This ensures perfectly controlled output on the left and right channels, regardless of the listening level.

Toroidal transformers have exceptionally low levels of electromagnetic interference compared to traditional transformers. The central placement of the CXA61’s transformer allows components and circuits to be placed away from any parasitic interference, thus avoiding hum and distortion.
