The Furutech e-TP60E is a Japanese-made power strip designed without active electronic filtering. It uses a passive approach based on selected conductive materials and GC-303 anti-interference technology. It features six SCHUKO outlets with gold-plated contacts, an aluminum chassis, and internal wiring designed to minimize electrical disturbances.

Construction and Design

The aluminum chassis of the e-TP60E reflects Furutech’s philosophy that every component matters. This metal structure serves a dual purpose: it protects against radio frequency interference (RFI) while providing mechanical rigidity that limits vibrations. Its compact dimensions of 200 × 130 × 60 mm allow for discreet integration into most setups.

The design remains understated, free from unnecessary decorative elements. The front panel simply displays the six aligned SCHUKO outlets, while the IEC input connector is located at the rear. This minimalist approach reflects a focus on performance rather than visual ostentation.

GC-303 Technology: Invisible Innovation

The most distinctive feature of the e-TP60E lies in its GC-303 coating, a special material applied to the inner side of the chassis’s bottom plate. This proprietary technology absorbs electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by the internal connections of the power strip itself.

Unlike traditional filtering solutions that introduce electronic components into the signal path, GC-303 acts passively. It captures interference without altering the AC waveform, thus preserving the original energy characteristics.

This approach is particularly well-suited to sensitive audio equipment that may react negatively to changes introduced by conventional filtering circuits. GC-303 is the only signal treatment system used in the e-TP60E.

Connectors and Wiring: Excellence in the Details

The six SCHUKO outlets feature non-magnetic phosphor bronze conductors, plated with 24-carat gold. This combination of materials is designed to optimize electrical conductivity while resisting oxidation over time. Phosphor bronze has the advantage of being naturally non-magnetic, thus avoiding potential distortions of the electric field.

The internal wiring uses Furutech μ-14 wire with a 14 AWG (2 mm²) cross-section. This specially designed conductor ensures minimal electrical resistance, allowing optimal energy transfer to connected devices.

All metal components benefit from the two-step Alpha Process cryogenic and demagnetization treatment, a proprietary process developed by Furutech. This treatment is applied during manufacturing and aims to optimize the crystalline structure of the conductive materials.

Usage and Compatibility

The e-TP60E naturally fits European audio and video setups thanks to its standard SCHUKO outlets. Its 15-amp capacity at 230 volts allows it to power most household equipment, except for very high-power amplifiers that require a direct connection to the electrical panel.

The product does not come with a supplied power cord. It requires a power cable with a male IEC connector and a plug suitable for the local network. This approach allows the user to choose the power cable according to their preferences or to match the rest of their setup.

The absence of active filtering makes the e-TP60E particularly suitable for sensitive digital sources and amplifiers that may react poorly to changes introduced by conditioning circuits. This broad compatibility is a significant practical advantage.
