Great cable and value for money from Audioquest, I highly recommend it.

AES/EBU, jointly developed by the Audio Engineering Society and the European Broadcasting Union, is a standard defining a two-channel connection interface for professional digital devices. But AES/EBU is also used in the consumer domain. While AES/EBU can be unbalanced, balanced, or optical, here we only consider balanced digital connectivity.
Solid core conductors eliminate distortion from strand interaction and reduce jitter. Silver-plated solid core conductors are ideal for high frequencies. Indeed, high frequency signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is very pure silver, the result is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but at a price much closer to a solid copper cable. It is an extraordinarily economical way to make cables for extremely high quality.
Nitrogen-injected hard foam insulation is used exclusively on most AudioQuest digital audio and video cables. Similar to expanded PE, its gas pockets are created by injecting nitrogen. The “hard” foam is used because the stiffness of this material allows the cable’s conductors to maintain a constant relative position to each other along the entire length of the cable, ensuring uniform cable impedance.
100% coverage shielding is easy. To prevent captured RF interference from modulating the equipment’s reference ground, AQ’s noise dissipation system is necessary. The NDS (Noise-Dissipation System) prevents a significant amount of radio frequency interference from reaching the equipment’s ground plane.
