Thorens TD 201 Turntable: Easy to Use Every Day

The Thorens TD 201 is a belt-driven turntable with a DC motor, allowing for smooth and precise platter rotation at speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 revolutions per minute, with a variation of +/- 2%. The speed switch is located on the front of the turntable, on the left side. The die-cast aluminum platter has a diameter of 30 cm.

Built-in Phono Preamp for Superior Audio Quality

The TD 201 features a built-in phono preamp within its chassis, offering superior audio quality for pure, noise-free sound. This preamp allows you to connect the turntable to the Line input of a stereo amplifier, hi-fi system, or even wireless speakers that don’t have a phono input. The phono preamp can be bypassed for connection to the phono input of a stereo amplifier or for using an external phono preamp.

TP 71 Tonearm: Precise and Noiseless Groove Tracking

The TD 201 is equipped with the new Thorens TP 71 tonearm, made from a lightweight, vibration-damping aluminum tube. The straight, statically balanced tonearm ensures excellent groove tracking and noiseless sound reproduction. The tonearm also features a graduated anti-skating adjustment at the base of the pivot, a headshell compatible with all 1/2” standard mount phono cartridges weighing between 3.5 and 6 grams.

Audio-Technica AT 3600 Cartridge for Quick Listening to Your Vinyl Records

The TD 201 comes with an Audio-Technica AT 3600 phono cartridge, mounted and adjusted at the factory. This moving magnet (MM) cartridge features an elliptical diamond stylus, allowing for quick listening to your vinyl records once the turntable is integrated into your system. The Audio-Technica AT 3600 cartridge can be replaced with another phono cartridge compatible with the 1/2” mounting system.
