All-Glass Lens

The high-end DLA-NZ9 is equipped with an all-glass lens with 18 elements in 16 groups, featuring a fully aluminum lens barrel. To project high-resolution 8K images to every corner of the screen, the projector incorporates five ED lenses calibrated for R/G/B refractive index differences to reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing when lens shift is applied, ensuring precise 4K or 8K resolution projection.

Brightness and Contrast

The DLA-NZ9 boasts ultra-high contrast optics, contributing to an optical brightness as high as 3,000 lumens. This is made possible by the BLU-Escent laser light engine, which not only delivers impressive brightness but also ensures nearly maintenance-free operation for up to 20,000 hours. The projector’s high native contrast ratio of 100,000:1, combined with JVC’s leading black levels, results in exceptional image quality.

Color Accuracy

The DLA-NZ9 offers superior color accuracy, with 100% coverage of the standard HDTV color gamut (Rec. 709). With the color filter in place, it can achieve 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, similar to what you would find in a digital cinema. Advanced HDR Support

The DLA-NZ9 supports HDR10+ and Frame Adapt HDR, two dynamic tone mappings that ensure optimal image quality for any HDR content. HDR10+ contains metadata of the producer’s intentions for each scene, while Frame Adapt HDR instantly analyzes peak brightness in HDR10 content using an original algorithm. This advanced HDR support, combined with the projector’s exceptional brightness and contrast, offers a truly immersive viewing experience.
