The Supra CAT8 RJ45 Ethernet cable is an exceptional product designed to meet the most demanding data transmission needs. With its cutting-edge technical features, this cable offers unmatched performance and unwavering reliability.
The Supra CAT8 cable stands out with its high-level technical specifications. With a bandwidth of 2000 MHz, it enables astonishing transfer speeds, far superior to those of lower category cables. Its excellent crosstalk (NEXT) properties and low attenuation ensure correct bit transfers and perfect synchronization, minimizing errors and allowing for high data rates.
One of the major strengths of this cable lies in its superior quality shielding. Each pair of conductors is individually shielded with aluminum foil, while the entire cable is protected by a tinned copper braid. This double protection offers almost total immunity against interference, with a very low level of electromagnetic disturbance pickup.
The Supra CAT8 RJ45 Ethernet cable also stands out for its robust and durable design. The high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors (5N) ensure excellent conductivity and minimal resistance. The low-capacitance, air-injected polyethylene insulation helps reduce signal attenuation, allowing for the use of long cable lengths without degrading transmission quality. The flame-retardant, halogen-free polyethylene outer sheath (FRHF) provides additional protection, making the cable suitable for installations in public spaces and buildings.
Thanks to its exceptional performance, the Supra CAT8 cable is ideal for a wide range of applications. It is particularly suited for high-speed computer networks, enabling transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps (40GBASE-T). It also excels in demanding multimedia applications, such as 4K and 8K video streaming, high-quality audio streams (up to 32 bits at over 700 kHz), online gaming, and data centers.
The Supra CAT8 RJ45 Ethernet cable is a wise investment for modern network installations. Compliant with the latest standards (ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173, ISO/IEC 24764), it is perfectly suited for professional environments and cutting-edge infrastructures. Its compatibility with HDBaseT, PoE (Power over Ethernet), and VoIP technologies makes it a versatile choice for large-scale projects.
What is the difference between a CAT8 cable and a CAT6 cable?
CAT8 cables offer significantly higher bandwidth than CAT6 cables (2000 MHz vs. 250 MHz), allowing for much higher transfer speeds. They also feature enhanced shielding for better interference immunity.
Can I use a CAT8 cable with older equipment?
Yes, CAT8 cables are backward compatible with equipment supporting lower categories (CAT6, CAT5e, etc.). However, performance will be limited by the least capable equipment in the chain.
What is the maximum recommended length for a CAT8 cable?
To fully benefit from the performance of a CAT8 cable, it is recommended not to exceed a length of 30 meters. Beyond this, signal attenuation can become problematic, even though the Supra CAT8 cable offers excellent characteristics in this regard.
Is the Supra CAT8 cable compatible with PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
Yes, the Supra CAT8 cable supports PoE and PoE+, allowing compatible equipment to be powered directly via the Ethernet cable. Thanks to its low attenuation, it permits the use of long cable lengths without significant power loss.

I don't know why this cable improves the picture quality of my Sony Bravia 8.
Moreover, my HDMI cable to my Sony home theater amplifier is also a Supra cable. The combination of the two delivers beautiful image quality and sound clarity.

Very well-made cable that exudes quality and comes in rather classy packaging for an RJ45 cable. Used to connect my modem to the powerline adapter, it works perfectly. Better than my previous basic category 5? No idea, probably not, and if there is any gain, it must be negligible, but at least it removes any doubt about a potential weak link in the digital flow of my setup.
