The Apollo borrows technology from the flagship of the Sendy Audio fleet: the Peacock. It relies on an in-house developed Planar driver, equipped with the technology called Quad-Former:
Each driver has two magnets, and each diaphragm has a coil on each side, itself composed of two coils. 4 coils and 2 magnets allow optimal conversion of magnetic energy, low distortion, and extraordinary musicality.
The diaphragm membrane required two years of development at Sendy Audio, resulting in a composite material combining rigidity, extreme thinness (3 microns) and optimal damping. The damping offers tight and deep bass, while maintaining warmth and naturalness in the voices and midrange. The rigidity allows reaching very high frequencies up to 40kHz, and offering clear, detailed and open treble.
Finally, the driver chassis is made of CNC machined aeronautical aluminum, and drilled with holes evenly distributing the sound at all frequencies.
The Sendy Apollo is a beautiful success. First of all, it is a marvel of design and comfort. For its price, it is a true gem in this regard. In terms of sound, it also hits the mark with a very soft, hyper-relaxing signature. While it may struggle to appeal to fans of rock, metal, and other high-energy genres, it will have no problem convincing those who enjoy softer genres like jazz. If you want a warm, calm sound to relax peacefully on the couch, go for the Sendy Apollo without delay!

The headphones have an exemplary finish, even more beautiful in person than in the images. You can feel it's a quality product, but what about the sound? Calm? Made for jazz? Jazz, classical, and baroque music, no doubt. But rock and even metal fans can rest assured, good old thrash sounds magnificent. For me, I find it quite punchy, perfectly reproducing the double bass, so yes, the bass is lively. The soundstage is wide, and it really picks up the details well. And the comfort is top-notch. In short, it's beautiful, comfortable, and has superb sound, even the box is practical. In a word, really top-notch 👍.
