EISA Awards: Award-Winning Product
Each year, dozens of European journalists gather to select the best electronic products of the year. Awarded by a diverse and impartial jury, the EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) awards recognize exceptional products for their performance, design, or ergonomics.
HDAM Module
To preserve the details, nuances and very essence of the music you love, Marantz developed HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) which surpass standard solutions found in other products with their processing speed and response time. The MODEL 40n leverages this unique Marantz innovation to ensure that everything you listen to will benefit from the best musical reproduction.
Built-in High-Resolution Digital Streaming
Connected amplifiers are designed for those with an infinite, dematerialized music collection. With HEOS Built-in, you won’t need any additional equipment to listen to your favorite tracks. This model supports Spotify, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Tidal, TuneIn and more audio services, as well as playback of your own music collection via the USB-A input or from a home music server.
Marantz Musical Phono EQ
The pleasure of listening to vinyl records is both audible and tactile, but requires highly specialized electronics for high performance. The Marantz Musical Phono EQ is integrated here so you can directly connect a turntable with a moving magnet cartridge to the MODEL 40n. You’ll enjoy all your favorite records and discover new ones, without the need for additional electronic devices.
Tone Controls
Your sound preferences at your fingertips. Adjust the bass and treble as you wish or activate the bypass function for the purest sound possible.
Refined Presentation and Feel
The MODEL 40n is part of the long line of historic Marantz devices known for their high-end design. Every aspect is considered - the superior quality materials, the symmetry, the classic porthole display, and even the precise operation of the volume control. Your hi-fi system doesn’t need to look like laboratory equipment. The Marantz 40n model demands to be heard, seen and touched.

Very happy with my Marantz 40n amplifier. After 1 or 2 days of "warming up," it delivers its full potential. What can I say... A breathtaking performance!! Deep, well-controlled bass, a vibrant midrange as well as the highs, and that sense of airiness and space, as if the musicians were right there in front of me in the flesh. You can very easily pinpoint the singers, even as they move around. A must-buy with your eyes closed.

The main component, the heart of the system, never disappoints. My experience is limited, but after several hours of listening, I’m still amazed by the genius of Japanese engineering. Just like in my childhood, listening to Marantz sometimes makes me want to conduct the music. I highly recommend it!
