The Zappiti Reference is a high-end multimedia player compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, powered by the Realtek RTD1619DR processor. The Zappiti Reference is both an audio-video player and a media server capable of streaming content to other Zappiti devices in your home via the advanced and exclusive Zappiti Share broadcasting protocol.

The Zappiti Reference is equipped with a high-end 32-bit ESS ES9038Q2M DAC that provides the industry’s best low distortion characteristics. The ES9038Q2M SABRE32 reference DAC is a very high-performance 32-bit stereo “Digital-to-Analog” audio converter designed for audiophile applications such as digital music players or professional applications such as studio audio recording systems, mixing consoles, and audio editing stations.
Toroidal Power Supply
The Zappiti Reference is powered by a massive toroidal power transformer, which offers superior efficiency compared to standard power supplies and provides a very clean and robust power source. As a result, the Zappiti Reference delivers a sharper picture and extreme black depth, particularly critical in high-end video projection systems. Skin tones, sand, and grass hues, which are very difficult to render, are reproduced to perfection. Materials are more detailed and the shots are more detached from each other, offering a three-dimensional aspect. Excellent player for reading all audio and video formats. The screen is a welcome addition compared to previous versions, although its brightness is not adjustable (however, it can be turned off). Access to internal hard drives seems more problematic than on older models, most likely due to the upgrade to the Android OS. I absolutely recommend it for demanding movie and audio enthusiasts.

Very disappointed with this model for the price.
The dual HDMI audio/video output does not work with Anthem 1140. Zappiti says it's an Anthem issue, but I've only had this problem with Zappiti, and it works perfectly with ZIDOO devices. They should lower their prices.
