The Cabasse Orion MC170 is an active subwoofer designed to deliver a high-quality audio experience. With an RMS power of 200 W and a peak power of 400 W, the Orion MC170 is capable of producing deep, resonant bass that enriches the overall sound output. The subwoofer’s frequency range extends from 35 to 200 Hz, allowing for faithful reproduction of low frequencies for total immersion in music or movie soundtracks.
The Cabasse Orion MC170 is an active subwoofer that offers a frequency response of 35 to 200 Hz. It is equipped with an adjustable low-pass filter from 30 to 180 Hz, allowing seamless integration with the other speakers in your system. The subwoofer’s design has been optimized to reduce internal standing waves, resulting in purer and deeper bass. CE certification ensures compliance with European safety standards, and the on/off switch facilitates power control.
The Orion MC170 features a 360° downward vertical diffusion, allowing for discreet placement of the unit. This design replaces the traditional front-facing woofer placement with a vertical positioning, which helps mitigate the effects of internal standing waves and makes the Santorin’s position relative to walls less problematic. As a result, bass reproduction is purer, deeper, lively, and dynamic.
The Orion MC170 is perfect for both stereo and multichannel use. It is also included in Cabasse’s MC170 5.1 home cinema pack, which also features two Jersey MC170 speakers, two Antigua MC170 speakers, and a Socoa MC170 center speaker.

Great to go with the Minorca M-40 from Cabasse,
a three-channel system with top-notch sound, amplified by an Advance Paris A10.

Too bad there’s no protection on the speaker underneath the enclosure
