The Focal 300 ICA6 is a high-quality 2-way coaxial in-ceiling speaker designed to deliver remarkable audio performance in a discreet and elegant format. Design and Technical Specifications

The unique feature of the 300 ICA6 is its 35° angled speaker, allowing precise aiming of the sound towards the listening position and avoiding the “sound shower” effect often encountered with conventional ceiling speakers. This angle, combined with the ability to swivel the speaker, offers great placement flexibility, including in corners.

The 6.5-inch speaker uses an exclusive flax cone, a lightweight, rigid, and damping material, for dynamic bass and realistic midrange. The 1-inch inverted dome tweeter in aluminum/magnesium ensures silky and detailed highs. Together, they cover a wide frequency range from 65 Hz to 28 kHz.

With a sensitivity of 89.5 dB and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, the 300 ICA6 easily pairs with most hi-fi and home theater amplifiers. Its power handling of 25 to 130 W allows it to deliver ample sound without distortion.

Installation and Integration

Thanks to the patented EQI (Easy Quick Install) system, installing the 300 ICA6 is quick and tool-free. Simply insert the mounting frame into the ceiling cutout, then clip the speaker onto it. Round or square magnetic grilles, paintable, are provided for discreet integration.

With a diameter of 299 mm and a depth of 127 mm, the 300 ICA6 fits into a 264 mm cutout, for a ceiling thickness of 10 to 35 mm. Weighing 3 kg, it comes with all the accessories needed for installation.

Applications and Compatibility

The Focal 300 ICA6 is ideal for creating immersive home theater audio systems, in combination with other speakers from the 300 Series or Focal’s Aria and Kanta ranges. Its angled design makes it an excellent choice for front, surround, and Atmos channels.
