Beautiful, flexible cable. The bass is quite soft, and the sound is generally warmly colored. Vocals are rich, and the high tones are precise.

The Cardas Parsec HP stands out with its unique design based on the golden ratio, a mathematical principle frequently found in nature. This particular geometric approach aims to optimize audio signal transmission by minimizing interference and distortion. The conductors are arranged in a configuration that adheres to the proportions of the golden ratio, allowing for a more harmonious propagation of the electrical signal.
This specific geometry helps reduce the harmful effects of resonances and electromagnetic interference, offering a purer and more faithful sound reproduction. The use of the golden ratio in the cable’s design is not just a marketing gimmick but a scientific approach aimed at concretely improving audio performance.
The Parsec HP uses conductors made of very high-purity copper, specifically selected for their exceptional conductive properties. The copper used is processed through Cardas’ proprietary method, which aims to eliminate impurities and optimize the metal’s crystalline structure. This particular attention to the quality of the conductive material helps minimize signal loss and ensures faithful transmission of the most subtle musical nuances.
The conductors are organized in a Litz wire configuration, a technique that involves using multiple individually insulated copper strands. This method helps reduce the skin effect, a phenomenon that tends to concentrate current on the conductor’s surface at high frequencies. By distributing the current more evenly throughout the cable’s cross-section, the Litz wire configuration helps improve frequency response and audio signal dynamics.
The insulation of the Cardas Parsec HP plays a crucial role in its performance. It uses a combination of carefully selected dielectric materials, including PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) and air. This combination creates a stable environment for the conductors while minimizing capacitive effects that can alter the audio signal.
The Parsec HP’s multi-layer insulation structure also includes a double shield made of copper and Mylar. This shielding provides excellent protection against external electromagnetic interference, a particularly important aspect in modern home environments saturated with electronic devices. Additionally, a ferrite filter is integrated at the cable’s end for additional suppression of parasitic high frequencies.
The Cardas Parsec HP is characterized by a sound signature that is both neutral and musical. It offers remarkable transparency, revealing the smallest details of the recording without becoming overly analytical. The soundstage presented is wide and well-defined, with excellent instrument separation and precise localization of sound sources.
In the low frequencies, the Parsec HP delivers a firm and articulated response, providing a solid foundation without overflow or excessive coloration. The midrange is rich and natural, reproducing voices and acoustic instruments with great fidelity. As for the highs, they stand out for their smoothness and extension, bringing air and finesse to the whole without ever becoming aggressive or tiring.
Despite its sophisticated construction, the Cardas Parsec HP remains a relatively flexible and easy-to-handle cable. Its outer diameter of 9.5 mm allows it to fit most installations, even in tight spaces. The outer sheath, in addition to offering mechanical protection, features an elegant finish that integrates harmoniously into any audiophile environment.
The cable terminations are available in several options, allowing compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers and speakers. Whether with banana plugs, spades, or screw connectors, the Parsec HP ensures optimal contact for uncompromised signal transmission.
The Parsec HP is positioned as an intermediate model in the Cardas range, offering excellent value for money. It benefits from many technologies derived from high-end models while remaining more affordable than the Clear or Beyond series.
Like most high-end cables, the Parsec HP can benefit from a break-in period. It is generally recommended to allow the cable to stabilize over a hundred hours of use to achieve optimal performance.
The Parsec HP is designed to work with a wide range of speakers. However, for very specific systems or particularly demanding speakers, it may be wise to consult a specialized dealer to ensure the best possible synergy.

Powering Focal Kanta bookshelf speakers from a Denon PMA 110, I previously had the entry-level Crosslink cables, which I've now put on Triangle Delta speakers in my home theater setup. The Parsec cables, at a price point that is still "realistic", provide a substantial improvement - superior musicality, transparency and dynamism compared to the previous cables. They're a worthwhile upgrade for enhancing the connection between speakers and electronics, better matching the equipment I have.
