With three gain settings, it offers you impressive listening pleasure, keeping an eye on your needs at all times while using a wide range of headphones on the most diverse sound sources. In this context, LehmannAudio has of course taken into account the varying performance requirements and sensitivity levels of the types of headphones currently available on the market.
A long metal box houses a muscular power supply with king-size toroidal transformer in the back, discrete class-A amplification circuits in the front, two parallel Neutrik 6.35 jack sockets, and a volume control via an ALPS potentiometer operated by a massive knob. At the rear, line-level RCA input and output; the Linear can also act as a preamp for active speakers or a power block.
