Pioneer A-40AE

Pioneer’s latest integrated amplifier, created according to the original Direct Energy concept, incorporates the new Direct Energy design, which aims for a high signal-to-noise ratio to create an impressive and realistic sound field. With features such as isolated power supply, custom-made large capacitors, Direct function, Power Amp Direct mode, aluminum volume knob/front panel, and MM phono input, you can enjoy clear and pristine sound, just as the artists intended.

Direct Energy Design

Pioneer’s design is based on the Direct Energy concept - lossless energy transfer from the amplifier to the speakers. Inheriting this philosophy, the latest integrated amplifiers feature optimized power supply/output circuit blocks and parts layout. This results in excellent signal transfer and a high signal-to-noise ratio.

Furthermore, the A-40AE adopts the new Direct Energy construction, which supplies power to the substrate by overlaying a separate substrate to achieve the shortest possible power path via a wire. Indeed, wires have inductance components and are prone to causing noise. Thanks to this significant revision, signal loss and noise can be further reduced to deliver sound with a wide sound field and clear sound image.
