Much criticized, but with a bit of EQ it works very well. Brings a lot of bass, spaciousness, and detail.

HIFIMAN has dedicated significant time and resources to create the Sundara Closed-Back headphones, which feature a nano diaphragm that enables ultra-fast response, producing not only stunning levels of detail but also ultra-low distortion. The SUNDARA Closed-back delivers performance and musical purity that exceed expectations, especially at this price point.
The advanced magnet design in the SUNDARA Closed-back is acoustically transparent, significantly reducing wave diffraction turbulence that typically degrades sound integrity. The result is reduced distortion, yielding a purer and more harmonious sound.
Hifiman uses the same transducer as on the open version. This is a rather ambitious reference, combining both the Stealth Magnet technology, introduced with the Arya headphones, and a Super Nano membrane, described as 80% thinner (and therefore lighter) than the competition.

I am not a headphone specialist and usually prefer open-back headphones; however, this is still a good closed-back headphone. The sound is smooth yet remains precise and dynamic. Well isolated from the outside, you are immersed in the music without disturbing your surroundings.
The color that appears orange in the photos is actually more of a wood tone, which is much nicer.
It is also quite comfortable and fits well around the ears.
A purchase with no regrets.
