The Reference Premiere subwoofers deliver remarkable performance thanks to the perfect balance between amplifier power, speaker efficiency, and cabinet volume. This optimal combination allows for maximum extension in the low frequencies while ensuring exceptional precision and power.
The copper Cerametallic woofers equipped with a front laminar vent are of high quality. Their exceptional lightness and rigidity guarantee a precise and efficient response in the low frequencies while minimizing cone breakup and distortion. The result is higher and more accurate efficiency, even with low power usage.
Thanks to its integrated high-efficiency amplifier, the RP-1600SW subwoofer features an analog preamp that preserves the original signal path for faithful and accurate reproduction. Indeed, the Class D amplification ensures maximum output efficiency as well as even more pronounced sound details.
With Klipsch’s WA-2 wireless kit (sold separately), you can enjoy high-resolution wireless connectivity for your subwoofer, allowing you to easily place it in the room and optimize output power and low-frequency response. By connecting up to four WA-2 wireless kits to compatible Klipsch subwoofers in the same room, you can enjoy a fully wireless connection.

Really, really awesome piece of kit. I love it!
Advantage: Incredibly fun, unimaginable performance.
Disadvantage: You need the space for it.

Recently became the owner of this RP-1600SW, and the verdict is crystal clear: it’s a war machine. I use it in a demanding hi-fi setup and it has literally transformed my system. The bass is phenomenally expansive, it fills the room with staggering ease.
I have to admit I bit off more than I could chew: the power is such that the 1400 or 1200 models would probably have been enough for my space! But what a pleasure to have this power in reserve. It never sounds forced, it’s clean, deep, and it goes very low without ever muddying the rest of the spectrum. If you have the space (because it’s massive), go for it—this is an investment you won’t regret.
