The number 1 in classical music and hi-fi. It is a benchmark in the field of classical music and hi-fi, as well as the distinction it awards to the best devices each year
Bathys is much more than just a wireless headset. It embodies Focal’s excellence in audio technology. Its French-made Aluminium/Magnesium “M” dome drivers deliver unrivalled sound quality. You can expect detailed, precise and dynamic sound reproduction with every listen.
Bathys’ active noise cancellation immerses you in deep silence, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music, films or phone calls. With over 30 hours of battery life, these headphones are ready to follow you wherever you go.
Bathys’ design is inspired by Focal’s high-end headphones, something that is apparent at first glance. Premium materials such as Magnesium for the yokes, genuine leather for the headband and Aluminium for a robust construction are used to ensure unrivalled comfort, whatever the shape of your head. The headphones’ light weight, compactness and perfect fit make them an ideal travel companion.
Focal has added an innovative new feature to Bathys: the Mimi hearing test. Thanks to the Focal & Naim app, you can configure the headphone sound according to your hearing. Bathys thus adapts to your unique hearing to offer you a personalized audio experience. Whatever the results of your test, you can fully enjoy Focal sound.
Whether you choose the Dune or Black Silver finish, Bathys delivers the same exceptional audio performance. With Focal’s expertise in acoustics and high-end headphone manufacturing, these headphones deliver pure hi-fi sound in multipoint Bluetooth 5.1 or wired mode thanks to the built-in USB-DAC mode, offering resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
The Aluminium/Magnesium drivers ensure deep bass, smooth treble and crystal-clear voices. The noise cancellation technology offers a “Silent” mode for noisy travel and a “Soft” mode to promote concentration at home. Bathys is also equipped with voice assistants, an adjustable equalizer, various connectivity options (Bluetooth, Jack, USB) and offers over 30 hours of battery life. A quick 15-minute charge gives you an additional 5 hours of listening time.
Although it leaves us with a very good overall impression, driven by its sound performance, the Focal Bathys will fully satisfy a specific audience that is primarily looking for a great listening experience, even if it means sacrificing some features.
Focal does not intend to target mere technophiles, but rather an audience interested in a premium, even luxurious product. The construction is thus most impressive. The structure is made of aluminum, the yokes of magnesium. The headband is covered with leather on top and microfiber underneath.

Here’s my take after several months of use.
The smartphone app is easy to use and seems to work well.
The battery holds a charge well, giving us great runtime.
On the sound side, nothing’s been overlooked—superb, well-detailed audio.
The big downside is the comfort of the ear pads, or at least their not-so-large size. I can fit my ears inside, but at the expense of comfort.
