Ortofon Concorde Music Blue

Ortofon Concorde Music Blue Cartridge with Elliptical Nude Diamond

The Ortofon Concorde Music Blue is a moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge designed by the Danish manufacturer Ortofon. It is part of the famous Concorde Music series, whose iconic design has marked the history of audio since its launch in 1979. Developed by and for music lovers, it combines exceptional sonic performance with great ease of use.

An Award-Winning Iconic Design

Building on a rich heritage since the launch of the original Concorde by Ortofon, the Concorde Music is one of the most recognizable cartridges in the audio world. Initially developed to meet the challenge of easy mounting on a tonearm without screws or wires, the unique design of the Concorde won the Danish Industrial Design Award and has become a reference in the industry.

Nude Elliptical Diamond

The Concorde Music Blue is equipped with a nude elliptical diamond mounted on an aluminum cantilever, offering a notable improvement over the Concorde Music Red. Nude diamonds, lighter than those with a tip, improve responsiveness, detail resolution, and reduce distortion. It is possible to seamlessly upgrade performance, from the Concorde Music Blue up to the Concorde Music Black LVB 250, simply by replacing the diamond.

Custom Rubber Suspensions

The rubber suspensions of the diamond play a key role in the overall performance of a cartridge. Exclusive compounds developed by Ortofon’s R&D team are used for the suspensions of the Concorde Music Blue, carefully manufactured in-house to ensure optimal functioning.

Four-Coil System

The Concorde Music uses Ortofon’s four-coil generation system with four split pole pins. Silver-plated oxygen-free copper is used for the coils and pins. This provides a good balance and channel separation for precise and dynamic sound. With an output voltage of 6 mV, it delivers a realistic sound rendering with great clarity and fidelity, capturing many details.

Simplified Installation

Mounting the Concorde Music cartridge on your turntable is a breeze, no tools are needed, making it convenient for all users. This is made possible thanks to the bayonet connector, which ensures compatibility with all S-shaped tonearms.

Upgradability

The Concorde Music Blue can be replaced or upgraded with any stylus in the Concorde Music range, allowing for evolution up to the top-of-the-line Concorde Music Black LVB 250 model. Changing the stylus is very simple, just remove the old one and insert the new one. Remember to keep the stylus guard when installing to avoid damaging the needle.

In summary, the Ortofon Concorde Music Blue cartridge stands out for:

• Its award-winning iconic design, combining aesthetics and functionality
• Its ease of mounting on S-shaped arms thanks to the bayonet connector
• Its nude elliptical diamond on an aluminum cantilever for detailed and dynamic sound
• Its exclusive suspensions developed and produced in-house by Ortofon
• Its high output level of 6 mV which simplifies interfacing
• Its upgradability within the Concorde Music range by simply changing the stylus
