Clearaudio, a German manufacturer of high-end turntables, offers the Concept Pack, a combination that includes the Concept turntable, the Satisfy Kardan tonearm, and the Performer v2 cartridge. This pack is designed to deliver high-quality audio performance while remaining easy to install and use.

Clearaudio Concept Turntable

The Concept turntable stands out with its chassis optimized to resist resonance phenomena. It consists of a medite base, encased in aluminum, with a top layer made of a hybrid synthetic compound. This composite design effectively eliminates parasitic vibrations.

The DC synchronous motor is completely decoupled from the chassis. It is powered by an external 12V/450mA voltage-stabilized source. The turntable offers playback speeds of 33 RPM and 45 RPM, selectable by changing the gear. The rotational speed accuracy is ± 0.04%.

The 30 mm thick POM (polyoxymethylene) platter contributes to great playback stability. The bearings consist of a polished and hardened steel sleeve in a sintered bronze bushing on a Teflon mirror.

Compact, the Concept turntable measures 420 mm wide, 140 mm high, and 350 mm deep, with a weight of 7.5 kg. Its maximum power consumption is 1.5W, with an average of 0.5W in operation.

Clearaudio Satisfy Kardan Tonearm

The Satisfy Kardan tonearm is a straight, frictionless tonearm utilizing magnetic technology. Made of aluminum, it offers great rigidity while minimizing resonances.

The total length of the arm is 302 mm, with a distance of 222 mm between the arm bearing and the platter axis. The arm adjustment is done via a precision micrometric vernier. The 1.1 m Clearaudio Direct Wire Plus connection cable is assembled with gold-plated RCA plugs.

The Satisfy Kardan tonearm is compatible with a wide range of cartridges, from 2.5 g to 17 g. Weighing 350 g, it mounts on the turntable via the standard Clearaudio mounting hole of 24.85 mm in diameter.

Clearaudio Performer V2 Moving Magnet Cartridge

The Performer V2 MM cartridge is the first representative of Clearaudio’s new “V2” generation. It incorporates numerous technical improvements over previous models.

Its ebony housing, a noble material known for its excellent acoustic properties, minimizes mechanical resonances and achieves a more natural sound than standard aluminum or resin housings.

Clearaudio engineers have optimized the inductance, capacitance, load, and sensitivity levels of the coils and added powerful magnets. This has significantly reduced distortion and crosstalk while increasing the output level (3.6 mV) and expanding the frequency response (23 Hz - 20 kHz).

The precisely cut elliptical diamond ensures excellent groove traceability (80 μm). Channel separation is greater than 26 dB, with channel balance less than 0.8 dB.

With high compliance, a mass of 7.4 g, and a recommended tracking force of 2 g (adjustable from 1.8 g to 2.6 g), the Performer V2 is compatible with most quality tonearms. Its aluminum cantilever and ebony body give it a sound signature that is both precise, dynamic, and musical.
