The Motion MP10 features a sleek and modern design that fits various interiors. The cabinet is made of high-quality MDF, with a thick front panel and internal bracing to minimize unwanted resonances.

The speaker is available in three luxurious finishes: gloss black, walnut, and satin white. These options allow it to match your decor or other elements of your audio system. The removable magnetic grille provides elegant protection for the drivers while maintaining acoustic purity when removed.

Advanced Acoustic Technology

At the heart of the Motion MP10 is the Folded Motion Gen2 Obsidian tweeter, an evolution of MartinLogan’s signature technology. This tweeter uses a pleated diaphragm that “compresses” air to produce sound, offering a larger radiating surface than a traditional dome while requiring less movement.

The result is exceptional transient response, reduced distortion, and precise sound imaging. The Folded Motion waveguide, selected from over 50 different designs, optimizes high-frequency dispersion for remarkable sound consistency, regardless of the listening position.

For midrange and bass, the MP10 uses a 14 cm woven fiberglass driver. This material, both lightweight and rigid, ensures faithful reproduction of voices and instruments. The molded polymer chassis and one-piece cone construction contribute to the precision and stability of sound reproduction.

Sound Performance

The Motion MP10 offers a frequency response of 81 Hz to 25 kHz (±3 dB), covering a wide range of the audible spectrum. Its sensitivity of 92 dB and 5-ohm impedance make it relatively easy to drive with most amplifiers.

The 90° x 90° sound dispersion ensures even coverage of the listening area, making it ideal for use as a surround speaker. The carefully designed McCracken-Vojtko crossover ensures a smooth transition between the tweeter and the mid-bass driver at 2100 Hz, preserving tonal consistency across the spectrum.

The rear-mounted Stealth bass-reflex port optimizes low-frequency response despite the MP10’s compact dimensions. This allows for balanced and dynamic reproduction, particularly appreciated for immersive sound effects in a home theater context.

Installation Flexibility

The recommended amplification power of 20 to 200 watts offers great flexibility for pairing with different amplifiers or AV receivers. The custom 5-way binding posts accept a variety of connectors, facilitating integration with your existing equipment.
