Moving Permalloy Technology: A Different Approach

The MP-700H abandons the Moving Magnet principle in favor of Moving Permalloy technology, which is less common but offers specific advantages. This design uses a lightweight permalloy magnetic piece fixed directly to the cantilever, significantly reducing the moving mass. This reduction allows the stylus to move more freely and precisely in the record grooves, resulting in more faithful and refined sound reproduction.

The magnetic flux benefits from the reinforcement provided by the increased permalloy circuits, improving sensitivity to micro-variations and delivering extra detail in playback. To counter this potential limitation, engineers have integrated an innovative suspension wire into the pivot system. This unique technical solution provides better channel separation, increased transparency across all frequencies, and more accurate reproduction of bass and treble.

Shielded Construction and Premium Materials

The body of the MP-700H uses ultra-duralumin, a high-performance aluminum alloy offering an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. This material benefits from a sophisticated three-layer surface treatment: nickel plating, black tinning, and an insulating coating. This multilayer finish minimizes electromagnetic interference, improves resistance to heat and wear, and preserves the product’s aesthetics.
