Custom-built at AudioQuest’s California headquarters in Irvine, Brave Heart packages technologies previously reserved for the Folk Hero and Mythical Creatures series into an optimized format. This new reference marks a significant step forward in the evolution of the brand’s speaker cables.

Rethought architecture for total acoustic control

With an outer diameter approaching that of the Mythical Creatures (only 0.6 mm less), Brave Heart incorporates one-third more Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductor than prior models in its category. Separating the positive and negative polarities into distinct round jackets simplifies installation while minimizing electromagnetic interactions.

This configuration uses solid-core PSC+ (Perfect-Surface Copper+) copper conductors whose surfaces are polished to reduce microscopic irregularities. According to the manufacturer, this limits certain forms of distortion associated with stranded conductors and contributes to better signal transmission, particularly in the low frequencies.

Seven-level RF noise dissipation

Given our increasingly saturated wireless environment, Brave Heart deploys a multilayer protection system. The optimized polypropylene insulation broadens the dissipation bandwidth while spacing conductors farther apart to reduce parasitic capacitive effects.

Carbon-loaded PVC layers, enriched with graphene, convert RF energy into heat. 4% silver-plated drain wires—a concentration twelve times higher than previous generations—efficiently shunt residual noise to ground. Every element is directionally oriented to optimize interference drainage.

ZERO-Tech: eliminating characteristic impedance

ZERO-Tech eliminates interaction between the dielectric insulation and conductors, thereby abolishing the fixed characteristic impedance of conventional cables. This approach addresses the fundamental mismatch between amplifier and loudspeakers.

Benefits include: uncompressed current transfer during transient peaks, preservation of damping factor along the entire cable length, and a stable frequency response regardless of loudspeaker impedance variations. This technology particularly benefits bass-reflex loads and low-impedance speakers that demand precise amplifier control.

DBS 72V: permanent dielectric polarization

The patented DBS (Dielectric-Bias System) maintains a 72-volt electrostatic field that organizes the insulation’s molecules. By permanently polarizing the dielectric, it eliminates frequency-dependent time delays while linearizing the filtering function over a wide bandwidth.

The Level-X version integrates an RF noise trap derived from Niagara technology, ensuring no interference is induced from the DBS elements into the conductors. The result: a background of remarkable silence from which music emerges with unusual purity.

Cold-welded connectors and uncompromising finishes

Multi-Spade or banana terminations use cold-welding, a pressure-assembly technique that creates perfect junctions without heat or filler materials. The red copper contacts are immersed in silver using a proprietary process that offers adhesion and conductivity superior to conventional plating.

All structural elements—housings, splitters, and jackets—are made from synthetic materials to eliminate any possibility of RF induction. The red-and-black nylon braid provides mechanical protection while maintaining appreciable flexibility despite the robust construction.
