The GTPC-TS represents the culmination of three decades of European expertise in audio cable design. This Gold series reference combines 5N monocrystal copper conductors with triple-layer electromagnetic shielding, setting a new standard for high-performance power delivery in hi-fi systems.

Monocrystalline architecture and optimized conductors

At the heart of the GTPC-TS are three multi-strand conductors of 65 × 0.25 mm each, totaling a cross-section of 12 AWG (3.3 mm²). This sizing ensures minimal resistance while preserving the flexibility needed for installation. The copper used achieves a remarkable purity of 99.999% (5N), placing it among the most refined conductors on the market.

The monocrystalline structure is the cable’s key asset. Unlike traditional polycrystalline conductors, where each grain boundary creates a barrier to electron flow, monocrystal copper forms a continuous, homogeneous path. This configuration eliminates micro-distortions generated during rapid current demands—particularly critical for audio amplifiers. Each conductor features individual 6 mm PVC insulation, substantial spacing that limits parasitic capacitive interactions between phases.

Multilayer protection against interference

Today’s electromagnetic environment generates a constant stream of RFI and EMI from household devices connected to the mains. These disturbances, which vary with the surrounding electrical activity, contaminate the power line and degrade audio performance.

The GTPC-TS deploys three distinct levels of protection. A 30 μm aluminum foil first wraps the bundle of conductors, forming an initial shield against high-frequency electric fields. A 4N OFC copper braid (16 × 7 × 0.12 mm) then creates an effective Faraday cage against electromagnetic interference. The 16.8 mm outer PVC sheath, covered by a nylon braid, completes the setup by providing mechanical protection and additional electrostatic isolation.

High-quality connectors with gold-plated contacts

Connectors are often the weak point of power cables. Taga Harmony has developed premium connectors for the GTPC-TS using non-magnetic brass, a material neutral with respect to magnetic fields. The Schuko pins and IEC C13 contacts receive 24K gold plating, ensuring zero susceptibility to oxidation and optimal long-term conductivity.

This gold finish ensures stable electrical contact and minimizes contact resistance. The connectors are rated for 16 A/250 V, offering ample headroom for powering the most demanding equipment. Build quality is evident in the absence of mechanical play and the firmness of the connections.

Impact on sound reproduction

The most immediate improvement is a lower noise floor. By effectively filtering mains-borne interference, the GTPC-TS reveals micro-details previously masked. The large cross-section and conductor purity allow instantaneous response to current draw, faithfully rendering transients and musical dynamics.

Soundstage directly benefits from the improved signal-to-noise ratio. Subtle acoustic cues become more apparent, and the stage gains in depth and width. This increased resolution creates a more holographic and engaging presentation, with better separation of sonic layers.

Four calibrated lengths are offered: 0.5 m, 1 m, 1.5 m, and 2 m, allowing the cable to be adapted to any setup without excess length. Each GTPC-TS is delivered in a hard case to preserve cable integrity and provide elegant storage.
