Overview
Mounting a speaker on the wall without allowing it to be angled would be like installing a projector with no angle adjustment. The Sonos Era 300, with its six drivers facing forward, to the sides, and toward the ceiling, projects sound in every direction: placing it on a wall without any adjustment would compromise its ability to deliver Dolby Atmos spatial audio where it matters most—toward the listening area. The Flexson wall mount solves this problem with a fully articulated adjustment system.
An adjustment mechanism designed for spatial audio
What sets the Era 300 apart is its upward‑firing driver, which bounces sound off the ceiling to create the height effect that characterizes Dolby Atmos. Mounting this speaker on a wall therefore raises a technical question: how can you preserve this vertical projection while still aiming the sound toward the listeners?
The Flexson mount offers a 20° downward tilt combined with a total rotation of 60° (30° to the left, 30° to the right). These two axes of adjustment compensate for the wall‑mounted position and direct sound toward the listening area, whether you’re sitting on a sofa facing the speaker or seated in a corner of the room.
For high mounting positions, less than 60 cm from the ceiling, Sonos recommends installing the Era 300 upside down so that the upward‑firing driver projects downward instead. The Flexson mount is designed with this configuration in mind: it can be inverted, and the speaker remains accessible, including the touch controls and microphone.
Construction and installation
The mount measures 172 mm in height, 92 mm in width, and 192 mm in depth, with a weight of 975 g. The combined mount‑and‑speaker assembly weighs around 5.2 kg once installed, which requires a solid fixing. The supplied hardware covers three types of walls: brick, masonry, and stud wall (wood frame). Installation on bare drywall, without a stud, is not supported.
When this mount makes sense
The Era 300 delivers its best performance in a home cinema setup, as a pair of surround speakers with an Arc or Beam Gen 2 soundbar. In this configuration, Sonos recommends placing the rear speakers at ear height and behind the listening position, with at least 20 cm of lateral clearance. A wall mount makes this positioning easier, especially in rooms where a floor stand would obstruct movement.
For standalone music listening or stereo pairing, wall mounting frees up floor space. The speaker can then be placed on either side of a TV unit, in a bedroom above a bedside table, or in a kitchen where the countertop is already crowded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the mount work with the Era 100 or other Sonos speakers?
No. The base is molded to the dimensions of the Era 300 and the locking system is specific to this speaker. Flexson offers separate mounts for the Era 100, One, Five, and the soundbars.
Can the power cable be routed discreetly?
The mount does not include integrated cable management, unlike Flexson’s “Premium” model or the brand’s ceiling mounts. You’ll need to plan a separate cable channel if you want a clean finish.
How does it differ from the official Sonos wall mount?
The official Sonos wall mount for Era 300 is fixed, with no tilt or rotation. The Flexson mount offers both, allowing you to adjust the speaker’s orientation after installation.
Does the wall need to support a specific weight?
Sonos states that the wall must be able to support at least five times the weight of the assembly, i.e. around 26 kg of load. Unreinforced drywall partitions are not suitable.
Does the speaker remain stable once adjusted?
The tilt and rotation mechanism locks into position. The speaker will not move on its own once set, but remains manually adjustable if you wish to change the orientation.
