Élysium Screens Edge|One Aurora Pro ALR 110"
Overview
A frame that disappears, a screen that works. The Edge|One Aurora Pro ALR combines an aluminum profile less than one centimeter thick with an ALR surface capable of maintaining contrast and color saturation in the presence of ambient light. The fixed format is aimed at living spaces where windows and lighting coexist with projection sessions: living rooms, offices, multipurpose spaces.
Less than one centimeter between the image and the wall
The aluminum frame measures less than 10 mm thick. That’s little, and it’s intentional: to reduce the visual presence of the structure so the image can occupy the space. The edges are beveled and coated in matte black, a treatment that absorbs stray light and enhances the perception of contrast along the image borders. Aluminum ensures lightness and rigidity, the two qualities needed to keep the screen taut without weighing down the wall.
The tensioning system relies on integrated springs. Each spring applies continuous tension to the screen, creating a flat surface without ripples. This flatness remains stable over time, unlike systems that depend solely on the initial tension during assembly.
The Aurora Pro ALR screen in daylight
ALR stands for Ambient Light Rejecting. The Aurora Pro screen uses a multilayer structure that reflects light from the projector toward the viewer while absorbing or deflecting light coming from the sides and above. Blacks stay deep, and colors retain their saturation even when the curtains are open.
This screen works with short-throw and standard projectors. It is not compatible with ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors, whose very sharp projection angle requires a different optical structure (generally Fresnel-type or serrated grid). Élysium Screens offers five screen models in its range, covering different uses and room configurations.
Thirty minutes from box to wall
The wall-mounting system uses spring clips. The brackets are positioned on the wall, and the frame hooks onto them with simple pressure. The screen tension adjusts automatically thanks to the perimeter springs. Élysium Screens states an assembly time of less than thirty minutes, illustrated instructions included.
Flat storage is recommended to preserve the screen’s flatness. This point deserves attention if the screen must be dismantled regularly: the fixed format is not designed for mobility.
A screen designed for living spaces
The Edge|One is intended for setups where total darkness is neither possible nor desirable. A living room with bay windows, an office with windows, a multipurpose room alternating between meetings and screenings: the ALR screen compensates for what the environment imposes. Maximum performance still depends on the projector’s brightness output. A device under 1500 ANSI lumens will produce a less convincing image than a more powerful model, especially in broad daylight.
Maintenance is simple: a soft cloth or a soft brush is enough. The surface can be cleaned with water or a neutral detergent, without risk of altering the ALR treatment.

Frequently asked questions
What sizes are available for the Edge|One Aurora Pro ALR?
Élysium Screens offers several diagonal sizes in the Edge|One range, generally between 90 and 160 inches depending on the model. The standard format is 16:9, suitable for current video content.
Can I use this screen with an ultra-short-throw projector?
No. The Aurora Pro ALR screen is designed for short-throw and standard projectors, whose projection angle allows the ALR structure to work properly. UST projectors require screens with a different optical structure.
How do I clean the screen without damaging the ALR treatment?
Use a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. For stains, a diluted neutral detergent is suitable. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, and heavy rubbing.
Is the screen compatible with 3D projection?
Yes, ALR screens of this type are generally compatible with active and passive 3D systems, provided that the projector itself is compatible.
