NorStone Eden Vision 270 + motorized platform
Overview
An ultra-short-throw (UST) projector sits a few centimetres from the wall, often right at the edge of a low cabinet, and the slightest movement changes the image size. Then there is the screen, speakers and sources to accommodate without turning the living space into a technical room. The Eden Vision 270 brings these elements together in a wide piece of furniture that looks like an ordinary console table as soon as the viewing session ends.
Cinema that disappears after the viewing session
When switched off, the furniture looks like a long low sideboard topped with a black tempered glass surface. Nothing gives away the installation inside. The motorised Lumene screen folds away completely into the unit, the projector retracts on its tray, and the acoustic fabric front conceals the soundbar or speakers. When started, the screen rises and the projector moves forward into its projection position.
This approach addresses a common inconvenience with UST installations placed on conventional furniture: the fixed screen permanently occupying the wall and the projector exposed at the edge of the shelf. Here, the large-format image only appears when requested, then the living room returns to its usual appearance.
The motorised tray and projector throw distance
With an ultra-short-throw projector, the diagonal size depends directly on the distance between the device and the screen. A few centimetres are enough to significantly alter the image size, and the projector can sometimes end up almost at the edge of the furniture. The motorised tray addresses this precise issue: it supports the projector and slides it forward to the selected distance, then returns it to its place once the viewing session is over.
The position is memorised, so the throw distance is reproduced identically from one projection to the next, to the millimetre. The tray extends by 340 mm (from 370 mm deep when retracted to 710 mm when open), remains flat and low (58 mm), and supports up to 25 kg, providing a comfortable margin for almost all UST projectors on the market. The electric sliding mechanism is quiet, which matters for a mechanism activated with every film.
The acoustic front and internal storage
The structure is made from high-resistance melamine, with a black tempered glass top. The front panel, covered in black acoustic fabric, lets sound through while concealing a soundbar or several speakers behind it. This is where the system’s audio section is hidden, with no visible grille or enclosure.
On either side and in the centre, the storage compartments close with doors fitted with gas struts, which assist opening and hold them without slamming. They can accommodate an amplifier, player or source devices, out of sight. The maximum load capacity is up to 50 kg, enough to support a complete home cinema system.
The Lumene screen and ambient light
The screen compartment accommodates the Lumene Eden Extra Bright 270C, a 120-inch motorised floor-rising tensioned screen in 16:9 format. Its fabric uses ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) technology: it accepts light coming from the projector positioned beneath it and reflects much less of the room’s light, preserving contrast when the lighting remains on. A wide 175° viewing angle keeps the image readable across the full width of a sofa, while the blackout backing allows placement in front of a window without light leaking through from behind.
The fabric is kept flat by lateral adjustment, with anti-yellowing and anti-dust treatment. This type of surface is tailored to the specific geometry of UST projectors: it performs at its best with them, rather than with conventional throw projection. The compartment is designed for Lumene Eden Extra Bright screens (UST and Lt versions), which points towards this range if you want to retain full concealment inside the furniture. The screen and projector are sold separately.
Dimensions, weight and space required
The Eden Vision 270 is a wide piece of furniture: 3077 mm wide, 515 mm high and 600 mm deep. It therefore requires an unobstructed wall section more than three metres wide, to be measured before ordering. Once assembled, it is a heavy, fixed unit that should be positioned in the right place from the outset.
Delivery is in three cartons (one central module, two side modules), for a total net weight of approximately 119.5 kg, including screws, instructions and assembly tools. Assembly is carried out at home, but the weight and bulk require two people and sufficient working space.

Frequently asked questions
Are the screen and projector supplied with the cabinet?
No. The Eden Vision 270 is sold on its own (with its motorized base in this configuration). The Lumene Eden Extra Bright 270C screen and the UST projector must be purchased separately, according to your preferences and budget.
Which ultra-short-throw projectors can it accommodate?
The vast majority of UST models on the market. The key point to check is the size of your projector in relation to the motorized platform (610 mm wide, 370 mm deep when folded) and its weight, which must remain under the 25 kg supported by the platform. Most USTs are well below this limit.
Can it be used with a screen from another brand?
The screen compartment is designed for Lumene Eden Extra Bright (UST and Lt) screens, which fold completely into the cabinet. A screen of a different size or brand will not fit in the same way, and the full retractability that makes the whole setup so appealing is then lost.
What wall width should be planned for?
The unit is 3077 mm wide, or just over three metres. You need this wall clearance, plus some side space for handling and access to the doors. It is best to measure the location before purchase, as the unit is not easy to move once assembled.
Does the acoustic front panel support any soundbar?
The acoustic fabric allows sound to pass through regardless of the equipment placed behind it. The check concerns dimensions: the soundbar or speakers must fit in the space provided at the front. Check the length and height of your soundbar against the front compartment.
Is installation within the reach of a private individual?
Yes, the furniture is delivered disassembled with the necessary hardware, instructions and tools. The main challenge is its weight (approximately 119.5 kg spread across three boxes) and the size of the side modules. Allow for a second person and sufficient workspace.
Is the Eden Vision available in other widths?
Yes. The range is available in several sizes matched to the diagonals of the corresponding Lumene screens. The 270 version is the widest and goes with the 120-inch screen (270C).
