The cover follows the dimensions shared by the brand’s two models, those of a compact machine that fits on a record shelf (the NOVA measures 34 × 15 × 26.1 cm). It slips on from above and covers the entire housing, including the buttons and ventilation grilles.
The outer fabric is polyester twill. Twill is a diagonal weave, tighter and more resistant to wear than a plain weave, recognizable by its fine diagonal lines. This twill is waterproof: a drop spilled while filling the tank or a nearby splash slides off the surface without reaching the machine. Inside, a soft lining rubs against the housing without marking it, which matters for the NOVA’s White Sand finish as well as the HG01’s surfaces. The cover is available in grey with orange details.
Keeping dust away from freshly cleaned records
The benefit of a cover on this type of device lies in the record’s path. A record emerging from a washing and drying cycle passes over the wheels and in front of the air outlets again: if dust has accumulated there over days of inactivity, some of it returns to the grooves. Covering the machine between sessions limits this buildup, particularly in a living space where dust circulates.
On the NOVA, the cover complements the original lid. This lid closes the top slot and also serves as a drying rack for five records or as a display stand for the sleeve of the record currently playing. When used this way, the slot remains uncovered: the cover then takes over the protective role once the session is over.

The front of the cover has a pocket that holds the maintenance tool, the manual and the record adapters. On the HG01, these adapters are used to clean 17 cm and 25 cm records, and losing track of them simply means these sizes cannot be cleaned. The NOVA does without them thanks to its adjustable wheels, but it is precisely the maintenance tool that allows you to move them and fit the tank supports: storing it against the machine saves you from searching for it every time you change record size. The drawstring pouch supplied with the NOVA remains useful for the power adapter, funnel and filters, while the front pocket keeps the most frequently used items within easy reach.

Does the cover fit other HumminGuru machines, such as the S-DUO Pro or the EZ Vinyl Record Washer?
No. HumminGuru states compatibility with only two models: the Original HG01 ultrasonic cleaner and the NOVA HG05. The brand’s other devices have a different form factor.
Can the cover be put on immediately after a cleaning cycle?
It’s best to wait until the drying cycle is complete and the tray has been emptied or removed. A machine that is still damp and covered with waterproof fabric retains moisture longer. On the NOVA, the drain mode allows you to empty the tray directly before covering the appliance.
Should the water tank be removed before covering the machine?
For a stop of a few hours, this isn’t essential. For several days of inactivity, emptying the tray and letting it dry prevents stagnant water from remaining in the machine, with or without a cover.
Why use waterproof fabric on a machine that already works with water?
Filling is done with distilled water, often above or beside the machine, and drops fall onto the casing as it is poured. The waterproof twill protects the buttons and ventilation grilles from these splashes between sessions.
