Overview
A wall-mounted TV frees up space and makes the living room feel less cluttered, but it often stays fixed facing the sofa. This dual-arm mount from Vogel’s keeps the screen 4 cm from the wall when folded, then extends it up to 56 cm and swivels it 90° to either side to suit the room. It supports TVs from 32 to 65 inches weighing up to 35 kg, and cables run inside the arms.
A mount that sits flat when folded and moves when needed
The TVM 5445 belongs to the ELITE Full-Motion+ series, the slimmest swivel range in the Vogel’s catalogue. When folded, it leaves just 4 cm between the back of the TV and the wall, a distance close to that of a fixed mount, making it suitable for very thin OLED and LCD screens whose slim profile you want to keep close to the wall. When extended, its two 56 cm arms and three joints bring the screen approximately 56 cm from the wall and swivel it up to 90° left or right, for a total range of 180°. The OneFinger movement uses coated bearings and precision steel shafts: one finger is enough to turn the screen towards the dining table or reading corner, without putting strain on the panel or frame.
No tilt, a deliberate choice by Vogel’s
The mount does not tilt downwards or upwards. Vogel’s removed this feature to reduce stress on thin, fragile panels, which do not cope well with being handled by one edge to change their angle. There is a genuine trade-off: the screen cannot be tilted to compensate for a high mounting position, above a fireplace for example, so it is best to mount it with the centre of the image at seated eye level.
Instead, the 2D Leveling system corrects horizontal and vertical alignment once the TV is mounted. A slightly misplaced drill hole or a slightly uneven wall can therefore be compensated for without removing the screen or drilling again.
VESA compatibility and TV dimensions
The VESA standard defines the spacing between the four threaded holes on the back of a TV, expressed in millimetres (width × height). The TVM 5445 supports hole spacings from 100 × 100 to 400 × 400 mm, including the intermediate formats 200 × 200, 300 × 200, 300 × 300, 400 × 200 and 400 × 300 mm. Its TV-side interface covers an area up to 460 mm wide by 425 mm high, setting the limit for the mounting holes.
The 35 kg load capacity covers most current 55- and 65-inch TVs. For larger or heavier screens, the same series includes the TVM 5645 (40 to 77 inches, 45 kg, 65 cm arms) and the TVM 5845 (55 to 100 inches, 55 kg, 74 cm arms), with the same features.
Cables tucked away inside the arms
The Cable Inlay System (CIS) routes HDMI and power cables inside the arms, while cable ties bundle the wires at the back of the TV. Finishing covers then conceal the screws and joints, so when the screen is turned sideways, you see a tidy arm rather than a bundle of wires. You just need to leave enough slack in the cables to allow full extension.
Between the mount and the sockets, the cable run down the wall can be concealed with the TVA 7000 cable cover, available in black (6870000) or white (6870001). Vogel’s also offers the SOUND 3550 soundbar mount (8153550) and the TVA 6400 media box mount (6864000) to group the rest of the setup around the screen.
Guided installation, from drilling to final adjustment
The box contains the mount, a wall mounting kit with fischer DuoPower wall plugs, the TV mounting kit, a spirit level, a drilling template and a quick installation guide. The free DrillRight app, on iOS and Android, acts as a level and helps mark the first hole in the right place using the phone’s camera. Soft pads protect the back of the TV as it is attached to the mount.
For stud walls, Vogel’s offers the TVA 6950 adapter (6869500). Each mount in the series is TÜV-certified and tested to up to three times its maximum load, or more than 100 kg for this model.
Steel, recyclability and a 15-year warranty
The TVM 5445 consists of just over 5 kg of steel and 360 g of plastics, and is 100% recyclable. It has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a standardised document that quantifies the product’s impact over its entire life cycle: 18.9 kg of CO₂ equivalent in this case. Vogel’s provides a 15-year warranty.

Frequently asked questions
Can the TV still swivel 90° to either side?
The 90° refers to the mechanism’s maximum range of motion. With a wide screen, the edge of the TV hits the wall before reaching this angle if the arms are not extended far enough. The wider the screen, the further forward it needs to be pulled before turning it, and a 65-inch screen will not necessarily reach the full right angle.
How can I check if my TV is compatible?
The TV’s manual or technical specifications list its VESA mounting pattern and weight without the stand. The mounting pattern simply needs to be one of those supported (up to 400 × 400 mm), and the weight must be under 35 kg. Some 65-inch TVs use a 600 × 400 mm mounting pattern: these require the TVM 5645 or TVM 5845.
Does the 4 cm clearance leave enough room for the connections on the back of the TV?
It all depends on the orientation of the connectors. On a TV with HDMI ports facing straight out from the back, a straight cable may not have enough room in the folded position. Right-angle HDMI plugs solve this problem and also make routing through the CIS system easier.
Can this mount be installed on a plasterboard wall?
With the arms extended, the TV’s weight creates a cantilever load, putting considerable stress on the fixings. Ideally, it should be installed on a solid concrete or brick wall. On a stud wall, the TVA 6950 adapter transfers the load to the frame; if you are unsure about the wall type, seeking advice from an installer remains the safest option.
Does a soundbar count towards the maximum load?
Yes, once it is attached to the TV or mount with the SOUND 3550, its weight is added to that of the screen. The total must remain under 35 kg, a limit to keep in mind with an already heavy 65-inch TV.
Can a screen smaller than 32 inches be mounted on it?
The 100 × 100 mm mounting hole spacing is supported, so a small screen can be mounted without any mechanical difficulty. However, the wall plate is 360 mm tall: behind a small TV, it may protrude and remain visible, which explains why Vogel’s sets the lower limit at 32 inches.
