Wall-mounted TV cable cover
A wall-mounted TV almost always leaves a few cables trailing down to the socket or the furniture below. Vogel’s keeps them tidy in an 80 cm cable channel that projects just 14 mm from the wall. It can be glued or screwed in place, cut to the required length and painted to match the wall.
A 14 mm-thick profile against the wall
The TVA 6000 consists of two pieces: a base attached to the wall and a cover that clips onto it once the cables are in place. Measuring 59 mm wide by 800 mm long, the profile holds up to four cables, typically the TV’s power cable, one or two HDMI cables running to a soundbar or a set-top box, a USB cable or an auxiliary audio connection. Its 14 mm projection makes it almost invisible from the side, and the enclosed cables stay out of reach of children and pets that might be tempted to pull on them. Four cables is the maximum capacity stated by Vogel’s: thick mains cables or braided HDMI cables quickly fill the internal space, so it is best to check how much room they take up before closing the cover.
The cover is available in black and white. It can also be painted to match the wall, allowing it to blend into a coloured wall rather than having to choose between two shades that may not suit the room.
Glue or screw in place depending on the wall type
The box contains the base, cover, double-sided adhesive tape, screws and wall plugs. Adhesive mounting avoids any drilling, a practical solution in rented accommodation or on a wall you do not want to damage. Its hold depends on the surface: clean, dry plaster is more suitable than wallpaper or fresh paint.
Screw mounting provides a longer-lasting hold. The Vogel’s instructions detail two situations: on a timber-frame partition wall, the screws go directly into the studs, located beforehand with a stud finder; on a concrete or brick wall, holes are drilled with a 5 mm drill bit before inserting the supplied wall plugs. In both cases, a spirit level helps align the base with the edge of the TV, as a slightly tilted cover is immediately noticeable beneath a perfectly horizontal screen.
Cut the cover to length or at an angle
Cutting marks engraved on the profile guide the cut, and the instructions suggest using a hacksaw for a clean edge. The cover can be shortened to stop just above the skirting board, or cut at an angle to join two sections at a right angle, for example when the cables run down from the TV and then horizontally towards a socket to one side. The base and cover are cut separately: it is best to cut them at the same mark so that the cover closes neatly along the entire length.

Frequently asked questions
Which color should you choose if you plan to paint the cover?
For light-colored paint, the white model requires fewer coats for coverage. Black is better suited to a dark wall or a dark shade. It is easier to paint the cover flat, before fitting it onto the base, then let it dry completely.
Can the TVA 6000 be mounted on plasterboard without a stud behind it?
The instructions only cover timber-framed partitions and concrete or brick walls. For hollow plasterboard walls, you can use the supplied double-sided adhesive or specific hollow-wall anchors, purchased separately, as those in the kit are intended for solid walls.
How can I cover a distance greater than 80 cm?
Simply place several covers end to end and trim the last one to the remaining length. The cutting guides make adjustment easier, and a straight cut at the joint maintains a continuous line.
Can the cover be installed horizontally?
Yes, it can be oriented in any direction. It can be positioned vertically beneath the TV, horizontally along a wall, or combine both thanks to the angled cut.
Can the cover be reopened to add or remove a cable?
The cover fits onto the base without having to remove it. Simply take off the cover to add an HDMI cable or change a cable, then put it back in place, with the base remaining attached to the wall.
Do I need a Vogel's wall mount to use this cover?
No, the TVA 6000 is independent of the mount. It can be used with a TV mounted on any wall mount, and also serves to route cables along a wall without a TV, between an outlet and an audio cabinet, for example.
