Vogel’s SFS 4113, the floor stand for the Sonos Era 100

On a shelf or sideboard, a Sonos Era 100 often ends up too low, right against a wall or wedged between two objects. This Vogel’s floor stand raises it to ear level without drilling a single hole, and hides its cable inside the tube. It only accommodates the Era 100, ensuring an exact fit, and comes in black or white to match the speaker’s finish.

A silhouette reduced to the tube and speaker

The stand measures 81.5 cm tall. On the floor, a square base measuring 26.5 cm on each side provides support; above it, a rectangular tube (34 × 44 mm) rises to a round mounting plate 93 mm in diameter, just wide enough for the base of the Era 100. Viewed from the front, the plate disappears beneath the speaker, leaving only a slender black or white line in the exact same shade as the Sonos.

Once the speaker is in place, its top sits approximately one metre above the floor, placing the drivers at ear level for someone sitting on a sofa. This is where the Era 100 performs at its best: positioned too low, it directs some of its treble into the seat backs, whereas at the right height the sound reaches the listener directly. The stand has been acoustically tested with the speaker and carries TÜV certification, which validates its mechanical stability. Its maximum load of 2 kg corresponds to the weight of the Era 100: it is not intended for any other speaker.

A single screw holds the speaker in place

The Era 100 has a threaded insert underneath its base. A 12 mm M5 bolt passes through the top plate and screws into it: the speaker becomes firmly attached to the stand and will not slide off if brushed against in passing. Assembling the stand itself takes just a few screws: three 35 mm M5 bolts to secure the tube to the base, and two more to attach the cap and plate at the top of the tube. A size 3 Allen key is supplied; you only need a large Phillips screwdriver.

The plate remains horizontal, with no tilt adjustment. The speaker therefore always stays level, and you aim it towards the sofa or the centre of the room by rotating the entire stand.

The power cable tucked inside the tube

Vogel’s CIS (Cable Inlay System) routes the cord inside the tube. A guiding tool, included in the box, helps pull the cable from one end to the other, after which it emerges through a notch at the back of the cap, directly beneath the speaker’s power socket. Nothing hangs down along the stand, and from the front the cable remains invisible along its entire height. For a speaker often installed in the middle of a room, behind a sofa or on either side of a large window, this detail matters just as much as height.

As a stereo pair or rear channels for a soundbar

The SFS 4113 is sold individually, with one stand per box. Two Era 100 speakers paired in stereo therefore require two stands, spaced the same distance apart as they are from the listening position to form a balanced triangle.

The other common use is adding rear channels to a Sonos soundbar (Beam, Arc Ultra, Ray). Behind a sofa, there is rarely a piece of furniture at the right height, and drilling into the wall is not always possible in a rental property or on a fragile partition wall. The two stands then position the Era 100 speakers slightly behind the listeners, at ear level, and can be moved without leaving a mark. The same principle applies to a bedroom or office without shelving.

No floor fixings are supplied: stability relies on the 26.5 cm base and the low weight of the assembly. In an area frequently used by children or pets, it is best to place the stand along a wall or away from foot traffic.
