Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a global standard for wireless communication that allows information to be exchanged between fixed and mobile devices. Marantz uses the Bluetooth A2DP standard to stream music from a mobile device to a Marantz receiver unit. It uses a dedicated one for the IS301 and the universal RX101 which is connected to the M-XPort. Your Hi-Fi system can thus receive music stored and played on your PC. CI-Ready

CI-Ready indicates that products are equipped with a connection such as RS-232, FlasherOut, integrated IR input, DC trigger and other similar devices used particularly in the custom installation area. For example, RS232 is a communication port directly connected to the microprocessor of the device. Marantz products have dedicated remote control codes and RS232 codes for all functions, including discrete on or off.

IR Flasher IN

The IR flasher input is a standardized connection allowing control of the audio-video system using external IR receivers regardless of the IR command format used. The IR flasher output allows connecting an IR emitter to control devices from other brands. The third connection, the IR receiver input, is similar to the IR flasher input, with the difference that it outputs a voltage suitable for powering an external IR receiver eye. The technical specifications of the various devices specify their level of compatibility.
