Excellent, to the point where I don't really feel any difference between my vinyl records and my FLAC files.

The Cambridge DacMagic was a huge success when it was released, as one of the first affordable, high-quality DACs with a USB input.
Cambridge Audio returns to this market with its DacMagic Plus, an improved and more comprehensive version of the Cambridge DacMagic. The USB input has been reworked and operates in asynchronous mode (with separate driver stages for 96 kHz and 192 kHz). While the digital-to-analog converters are the same (Wolfson WM8740), the upsampling stage, entrusted to Anagram Technologies, operates at 384 kHz compared to 192 kHz for the DacMagic.
A major advancement is that the Cambridge DacMagic Plus features a volume control, allowing it to replace a lower-quality preamplifier. This volume control is also linked to a headphone amp. As you can see, this is a very comprehensive product.
In addition to its USB input, the DacMagic Plus includes coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR outputs, and SPDIF.

Really great product. Used connected via USB to my PC, I'm rediscovering my music collection! There is a noticeable jump in quality. Moreover, it enhanced my Atoll Cd50 player when connected with coaxial - the soundstage opened up, and I was already satisfied before. A true pleasure. I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase.

Excellent value for money, perfect for taking advantage of Qobuz from files downloaded to a PC. Very precise rendering.
