Marantz has optimized the mechanisms and power supply, and focused on premium digital-to-analog conversion with the CS4398 and ensured a symmetrical mirror output stage with Marantz’s proprietary HDAM-SA2 amplifiers.

With all that done, Marantz has meticulously re-checked and adjusted everything with selected components. Marantz has also added a solid metal bottom plate and centralized the location of the CD mechanism, thus eliminating any vibration. An oversized power supply allows the CS4398 analog/digital converter and the HDAM-SA2 circuit, Marantz’s own small signal amplifier, to fully express their qualities all the way to the gold-plated RCA terminals.
