Cardas XLR Iridium (XLR Analog Audio Cables)

Iridium XLR cables are the entry level in the Cardas range to benefit from “Golden Ratio” Litz copper conductors. This Grade 1 OFHC copper, 99.9999% pure, receives an SPN coating that insulates each strand individually, a technique that limits harmful high‑frequency skin effects.

The Star-Quad geometry groups four 24.5 AWG conductors within a hybrid shielding that combines a tinned copper spiral with a carbon-impregnated PTFE tape. This dual protection effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, even over long runs. The outer TPR jacket remains flexible and easy to handle behind an equipment rack.

In terms of sound, the Iridium leans towards a slightly warm tonal balance. The midrange gains in density, the bass stays taut and lively, and the treble retains a smoothness that prevents fatigue during long listening sessions. A relevant choice to balance a system that lacks body or whose top end is a bit too bright.

Each cable is hand-assembled and hand-soldered in the Cardas workshop in Bandon, Oregon. Neutrik XLR terminations ensure a reliable, long-lasting connection.
