Lumene Coliseum Silent Extra Bright UST (Ultra-Short Throw (ALR) Screens)

An ultra-short-throw projector, placed just a few centimeters from the wall, projects its light upward at a very shallow angle. The CLR (Ceiling Light Rejection) screen of the Coliseum Silent Extra Bright UST takes advantage of this geometry: its matte gray surface reflects the beam toward viewers and rejects light from the ceiling and lamps—more than 88% of ambient light. In a living room that cannot be made completely dark, blacks retain their depth and the image remains clear.

The 0.5 gain (the screen reflects less light than a white screen to preserve contrast) comes with a 140° viewing angle, which keeps the image consistent from one end of the sofa to the other, and 99% color reproduction. Side tensioning keeps the surface perfectly flat, which matters with such a shallow beam angle, where even the slightest crease distorts the image.

The 20 W DC motor lowers the screen smoothly at under 50 dB. The screen can be mounted on a wall or ceiling, or suspended, and controlled via infrared, radio, or a home automation system (RS232, RS485, dry contact, 12 V trigger). Four 16:9 diagonal sizes are available, from 92 to 129 inches.
