Wireworld Silver Starlight 10 Coaxial (Digital Coaxial Cables)
The Silver Starlight 10 adopts the design of the Gold Starlight 10, positioned just above it in Wireworld’s coaxial range, with one major difference: its conductors are made of silver-plated OCC-7N copper. This continuously cast copper, with a purity of 99.99999%, forms very long crystals through which the signal travels with few grain boundaries. In this way, Wireworld brings the construction of its high-end digital cables to a more affordable price point.
Three 24 AWG (0.2 mm²) conductors, divided into twenty insulated strands, are wound in a helix using the brand’s Tri DNA Helix geometry. This arrangement maintains the 75-ohm impedance required by a coaxial digital connection: a stable impedance limits signal reflections, which disrupt synchronization between the source and the converter. The Composilex 5 insulation, specific to the 10 series, reduces noise caused by friction between the conductors and the insulation.
The contacts are made of silver-plated OFC copper. The cable is available with RCA or BNC connectors at each end, in any combination, and in lengths from 0.5 to 6 m, allowing a CD player, streamer or television to be connected to a DAC or amplifier via its coaxial digital output.
