Opera Audio Consonance was founded in Beijing in 1994 by Shi Hui Liu, an optomechanical engineer with a passion for music, especially European opera. He developed his first tube amplifier to achieve personal sound ideals, and the first sales followed.

Today, Opera Consonance is one of the largest manufacturers and developers of high-end audio in China, with products sold in over 30 countries. The brand is particularly renowned for its tube amplifiers and tube CD players.

Over the years, Opera Consonance has expanded its product range to include digital and analog systems, tube and solid-state amplifiers, speakers, cables, and accessories. Among the brand’s flagship products are the LinearQ, a fully balanced four-channel tube headphone amplifier, and the Linear845, a single-ended Class A tube integrated amplifier.
