Stereo Preamplifiers Pathos
About Pathos
The story of Pathos began in 1994 with a “coincidence”. Gianni Borinato had the idea for a new amplifier circuit and he asked his two friends Paolo Andriolo and Gaetano Zanini to help him explore the possibilities of this technology. So they made the very first prototype; Gaetano owned a high-end boutique in Vicenza, which offered them the best possibilities for testing and benchmarking.
At first, the three pioneers thought that the amplifier they were using as a reference was broken, but the fact is that the new circuit offered exceptional sound performance, right from the first prototype. After a period of doubt, they decided to produce this amplifier. In other words, Pathos was born to develop and propagate a new amplification circuit called INPOL (Inseguitore a Pompa Lineare = Linear Pump Tracker). INPOL is the property of Pathos and is patented worldwide.
