Mini projectors
A mini projector fits in one hand, sometimes even in a pocket for the smallest models, and projects an image far larger than its size would suggest. It is the most compact video projection format, designed to be stored, moved and set up in just a few seconds on a coffee table or shelf. Many run on battery power and feature a connected system and speaker, enough to start a film without plugging anything else in. Compactness has its limits. The reduced light source delivers moderate brightness, requiring a dark room or nighttime use; in bright light, the image washes out. Resolution is most often below 4K, in HD or Full HD, which is sufficient for a reasonably sized image but shows its limits at very large sizes. The built-in sound is useful in a pinch without replacing a proper audio system. In return, these projectors cost less, can be taken anywhere and make projection accessible for an impromptu evening, a child’s bedroom or occasional use. Automatic focus and geometric correction make setup easier, even when placed at an angle. This projector belongs to the video projectors category, projects onto a projection screen for improved sharpness, and can be paired with a portable Bluetooth speaker for sound that matches the image.
