The TX-NR626 offers exceptional features and performance. On the features side, you get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth audio streaming technologies, which allow you to stream high-resolution, lossless or compressed formats from a smartphone, tablet, computer or NAS server, using the Remote app to select and play music files.
This receiver also handles music streaming services and Internet radio that can be controlled by an app, so you’re never short on choices. On the performance side, six HDMI inputs and two ARC outputs support 4K and 3D video (pass-through), with 1080p upconversion of low-resolution video on standard HD TVs (4K on compatible screens) using Qdeo technology.

The equipment exudes quality (paired with Cabasse Eole 3), and the sound rendering is excellent with many possibilities and settings. However, the initial configuration is laborious; in my case, the quick/initial setup did not work when powering on the device. Accessing certain functions requires pressing multiple buttons. In summary, it's not easy to get started, but the product is good, even very good. There's still much to discover about all the possibilities offered.....
Pros: Excellent sound quality.
Cons: The full manual (downloadable from the ONKYO website) is absolutely necessary, as the device is not straightforward.

An excellent product. The automatic speaker configuration using the microphone is very easy and highly effective! It doesn't have the THX certification of my old amplifier and slightly less power at 8 ohms, but you can't hear the difference... and it gained HDMI connectivity. So it's pure bliss...
Pros: sound quality. Simplicity of setup. Interesting features.
Cons: the speaker terminal labeling is less clear than on my old amplifier.
