These audiophile headphones use electrostatic panel technology. It’s the first supra-aural model in the manufacturer’s range. However, it’s not a cut-rate model, as it uses the same electrostatic panels as the models in the 07 range.

The main characteristic of the listening experience is absolute transparency across the entire audio spectrum, as well as an absence of lag in the bass. In a word, the listening is extremely lively. The Stax SR-207 cannot be connected to just any headphone output and requires the use of a specific amplifier, notably due to the constraints related to its impedance. It is compatible with the brand’s dedicated amplifiers.

The SRM-006ts is a tube amplifier dedicated to Stax electrostatic headphones, from which it knows how to extract the quintessence. It has the particularity of operating in class A with tubes. These are 6FQ7/6CG7 models, whose reputation is well established among audiophiles. Its warmth and true musicality are present. The input connectivity includes two RCA lines and one XLR. This amplifier can thus be connected to the best audio sources, with SACD players and high-end DACs at the forefront.
