Overview

The Surf bookshelf speaker is designed to deliver full and complete sound reproduction in rooms up to 25 m2. It can be positioned against walls and even in the corners of the room, and thanks to the adaptability of the Cabasse Stream AMP amplifier, it offers the extension and purity in the bass of a large floorstanding speaker, with a surprisingly stable and realistic sound image.

Wide-band tweeter

This speaker is equipped with the diaphragm created by Cabasse for the latest version of the TC23, a 3-way coaxial speaker featured in the La Sphère and L’Océan reference speakers. This diaphragm is remarkable for its extreme thermal and mechanical resistance, damping capabilities, and the long-term stability of its performance. Combined with a powerful motor and a specific horn, it allows the DOM 37 to reproduce the high-midrange with a linearity that traditional 2-way speakers cannot match, both on and off-axis.

Long-throw woofer

The shape of the 13 cm speaker baskets has been specially designed by Cabasse to provide maximum mechanical rigidity and a low resonance frequency for better bass extension without coloration. The long voice coil on a Kapton support is perfectly ventilated; the power handling and acceleration capabilities are exceptional.

HDSE filters

The Cabasse protocol for anechoic chamber measurements takes into account on-axis and 360° measurements for perfect control of directivity and total radiated power, in accordance with the Cabasse principle of Homogeneous Distribution of Sonic Energy (HDSE). Direct and reflected sounds are homogeneous, the sound stage is wide and stable.
