For the replacement of the X700, JVC launches the DLA-X7000 with a seventh generation of D-ILA matrices and e-shift 4 technology. It displays UHD-4K images of 3840 x 2160 pixels and 3D videos with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (FULL HD) with THX 3D certification, offering stunning levels of clarity and detail. It features HDMI 2.0a inputs (with an 18G transfer rate) compatible with the DCP 2.2 protocol for 4K content and HDR compatibility to provide better rendering of details between whites and dark areas. The new ultra-powerful PK-L2615U 265W lamp allows it to increase image brightness to 1700 lumens with a contrast ratio of 120,000:1 (native) and 1,200,000:1 (dynamic), which differentiates it from its little brother, the DLA-X5000.
JVC clearly moves to the next level with the new generation of DLA projectors. Not content with being currently the only manufacturer to offer a range of home cinema projectors equipped with a true HDMI 2.0 chipset (4K/60 Hz, 4:4:4 chroma, HDCP 2.2), while ensuring some future-proofing with HDR compatibility, where JVC really impresses this year is in finally managing to raise the light output of the DLA-X7000 to the level of the competition, while preserving the powerful contrast that has always made its reputation. The result: the image gains considerably in dynamics. While waiting to take a closer look at the X5000 soon to judge the gap between the two models, considering the efforts made this year and the few small innovations introduced, the JVC DLA-X7000 unquestionably establishes itself as one of the best home cinema video projectors that has passed through our hands. Well done, JVC.
