Nuprime IDA-6 black

The NuPrime IDA-6 consists of an integrated amplifier and digital-to-analog converter that decodes PCM 384 and DoP64 with the convenience of wireless audio in a well-designed, compact stereo component. NuPrime’s unique Class A + Class D hybrid amplification technologies deliver the substance and warmth of Class A amplification along with the efficiency and speed of Class D technology. The sound of the IDA-6 is spacious, transparent, dynamic, and luxuriously textured - it must be heard to be believed.

The IDA-6 uses the shortest signal paths to facilitate low levels of noise and distortion. Volume changes occur in 99 precise 0.5 dB increments for individually adjustable volume level of each input. The NuPrime amplifier circuit improves upon the classic Class D design by using a self-oscillating circuit to generate pulse width modulation. The amplifier switches at 500 kHz, well beyond the 44.1 kHz sampling frequency of the compact disc. Most Class D amplifiers switch at 300 kHz or less. Furthermore, a new low-noise power supply is designed specifically to complement the IDA-6 amplifier.
