The RA-1592 integrated amplifier is the component that precisely meets this need. It is the synthesis of our duly awarded RC-1590 preamplifier and the RB-1582 MK2 power amplifier, both of which have been combined in a single, sleek and elegant chassis. With a power of 200 W into 8 Ω and a Class AB amplification section equipped with high-performance audio components, the RA-1592 can effortlessly power the largest systems. An oversized toroidal transformer designed by Rotel forms the heart of the power supply, associated with special slit-foil capacitors in a dual-mono configuration. All of this contributes to the overall performance of the amplifier, which will not falter in any situation, even with the most complex music and under real and realistic playback conditions.
To complement this amplification section, the RA-1592’s preamplifier incorporates the superb 32-bit/768 kHz AKM digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and the highest quality analog stages. The DAC and associated circuits are compatible with a wide range of audio sources such as the DSD-compatible PC-USB input (24-bit/192kHz), 3 coaxial inputs, 3 optical inputs, a built-in aptX Bluetooth source, and a front-panel USB input for iPod. To satisfy audiophiles who are fans of analog music sources, we have also integrated a phono input (MM), balanced XLR inputs, and 3 analog inputs on RCA jacks.
Selectable A-B speaker outputs, offered on output terminals with 5 connection modes, RCA preamp outputs, and a dual subwoofer output provide optimal installation flexibility. The amplifier protection circuit handles DC current offset, current overloads, short circuits, and operating temperature to protect both the electronic components and the connected speakers.
Integration into a home automation system, as well as management of streaming sources, will be facilitated thanks to RS232 and IP (Ethernet) control, the two trigger outputs, an IR remote control input, and an automatic power-on function activated by digital sources.
